I am having my wedding reception in a hall of a church that is basically a basketball court. I want to make the room more romantic and hide the basketball hoops by making it look tent like with a canopy of lights. Any suggestions would be great!

Hanging lanterns at a reception hall. How do you go about doing that just wire and hooks? We don’t need them lit just for decor in a high ceilinged room. We were going to hang them from the air vents-but not sure.Any suggestions? We are going for the paper lantern in a tent look, but minus the tent. Thanks

The church where the wedding will be held is in a rather small town where there are not a lot of options for reception halls, and I’d rather not hold it in the church itself. The nearest larger city is twenty minutes away by highway. Is that too far to ask my guests to travel?

Ok so we are planning on having our reception at the Hotel Kabuki! it was recently renovated to be very modern and even has gone green. we love the venue but did not plan on a japanese decor,and really would love to accent our wedding with the japanese theme.our food and beverages already have subtle touches we want to see it in our centerpieces, and favors , tradition, and attire. our colors are platinum ,aubergine and lavender .

I wouldn’t ask people to go in their pockets but all my family is drinkers and I can’t afford them. Anyway I’m trying to think of drinks that don’t require too many different ingredients.
